GoingGray is the business of third-generation rug hooker Martha Reeder, who has a studio in Rochester, MN. She is aided and abetted by her artist sister, Liz Quebe, who comes up with pattern designs at her home in southwestern Wisconsin. The name is a reference to their maiden name and the natural state of their hair color.
GoingGray patterns are inspired by the good things in everyday life, and overlaid with whimsy.
GoingGray also offers works in wood that include lap frames, cutter caddies, and rug hangers, all creations of Liz Quebe and her husband Jerry.
