Faye Wagner Schilling
Faye Wagner Schilling currently lives in Woodbury, MN with her husband, Mark. As a young child she sewed clothing and embroidered. A quilter for 30 years, she began hooking rugs in January 1995. A year later she was invited to teach rug hooking at a local quilt shop which then led to designing her own patterns and dying wool. She taught rug hooking in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Montana for several years. And she is a contributing designer for Create & Decorate magazine.
Along with the help of two good friends, she founded and organized the Autumn Hook-In for 8 years in Stillwater, MN. She has attended many workshops with Emma Lou Lais, Barb Carroll, Jeanne Benjamin and Judy Colley.
The runners have become some of her most popular designs with the Sheep Runner as popular now as it was 13 years ago. She first designed the Sheep Runner for an empty space over the double doors in her home, to her surprise rug hookers liked the long skinny size and so she continued with a series of runners.
